I review existing extensions, investigate maintainability or performance issues, and adapt code. I can also prepare on-premises customisations for a SaaS project.
Before changing code
I check whether standard functionality or an existing app will do. If an extension is needed, I identify the data, postings, permissions and integrations it affects, and which normal and exceptional situations need testing. This helps clarify what the change will do and what will need to be maintained after delivery.
