Analysis and setup

An implementation starts with understanding the process that Business Central has to support. That includes the normal flow, the exceptions and the responsibilities around it.

From there, the setup can be worked out. Standard Business Central is the starting point. Where that is not sufficient, the requirement can be translated into an app, an AL extension or an integration.

Data and migration

Migration is part of the implementation, not a separate technical exercise. It has to be clear which master data, open entries, balances and historical data are needed and how they will be checked before go-live.

When data comes from an existing NAV or Business Central environment, existing structures and data quality issues also need attention. Moving everything as-is is not automatically the right choice.

Customisation and integrations

Not every requirement needs customisation. When standard functionality and configuration are not enough, Initvalue can help define and build the required AL extension or integration.

For integrations, the implementation also needs clear agreements about data ownership, business logic, error handling and operational responsibility.

Testing and go-live

Before go-live, the complete process has to work with realistic data and the systems around Business Central. Initvalue can support end-to-end testing, issue analysis, data validation and cutover preparation.

Support can continue during go-live and the first period afterwards when issues need to be analysed and stabilised quickly.

Working with the existing team

Initvalue works alongside the internal team, implementation partner and other suppliers. The role depends on what the implementation needs: analysis, setup, development, integration work, migration support or review. Initvalue does not take over the role of a full-service implementation partner.
